Quality Assurance Department
The QA Department was organized in 2002 to handle the quality management of Devexperts’ products and services on all stages of project development. Devexperts’ quality assurance engineers are also specialists in FOREX, option and stock trading aspects as they must consider a testable system both from an end-user and from a technical specialist position at a time. The QA team works in close interaction with the Technical Support Department and customers and handles a wide range of tasks including analysis of customer's business processes and end user profiling.
The QA team was involved in all Devexperts’ projects including those related to GFT, thinkorswim, thinkpipes, applications for mobile devices. Today, the team continues working on these projects and takes an active part in the development of our new product line. The team is engaged in each stage of product development, even after the project release, plans and conducts necessary researches, analyzes results and finds system bottlenecks accumulating the user's responses and, thereby, improving the product quality.
The main principle of the QA Department is transparency and flexibility of the test process. By implementing the bugtracking system (JIRA) and requirements management system (Telelogic DOORS), the test process allows for on-the-spot monitoring of each testing stage and the current problem status.
One of the Department’s achievements is a unique system that enables within a short period to design necessary modules for load testing of any project. This scripts-managed module is an imitation of the relative client project; it is connected to the existing load generation and statistical data collection means. The system has a scalable architecture and supports all software and hardware platforms. Specially developed software for logs processing, generated by a system provides fast selection of necessary information out of gigabytes of text logs, to completely analyze the developed project. This approach allows Devexperts to develop the most reliable and crash tolerant software a broker has ever employed.
